READ MOREFriday Edition of #MediaMonday – What’s New With Catherine Anaya
We featured Catherine Anaya back in April 2010 when she was full time into her anchoring career at CBS 5 News and very active in the local community. And then life happened. And Catherine made the decision to step down from the anchor desk and focus on her family. But that didn’t mean she gave up on her career, it simply meant that she re-prioritized things. And lucky for us, that means that we’re going to see her on the air again, as host of a new program on AZTV. in honor of her new gig, we update our initial profile on Catherine, available in the link. Dave has a trophy case full of Emmys for his weather reporting and his water-safety initiatives “Watch Your Kids Around Water” and “Summer of Supervision.” Fun fact - He’s one of the people who helped inspire Scott's broadcasting career. As a kid, Scott had the opportunity to visit Dave at work – when he was doing both the morning show at KOOL-FM and the weather at Channel 10. All these years later, Scott played the part of reporter, interviewing Dave about his life in today's #mediamonday. Click the link to read the great story!

READ MORE#MediaMonday – Jennifer Longdon, Ability 360
I’ve posted here before about our work on behalf of disability organizations. We featured the National Center on Disability and Journalism New Comprehensive Style Guide as a previous Media Monday and I’ve also written about how Jennifer Longdon inspires me to be a better person. You’ll understand why the word inspire has a different meaning than what you may think. One of our first clients doing disability advocacy work was ABIL, now called Ability360. They have recently launched a magazine and I asked Jen to tell us a little bit more about it. But you can’t learn about the magazine without first learning about Jen. We’re sharing this post today because it is the day before the 26th anniversary of the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act. So Jen, what do you want to tell the blogosphere about yourself today?
