Words that Reflect Your Work Day
In the past year, Dolly Parton launched a new podcast, touring musical AND a Netflix Show. She also celebrated her 50th anniversary of being a Grand Ole Opry member with a killer televised concert.
I mean, the woman is going to be 74 next month!
In reading about her projects on what seems a daily basis lately, I can’t help but hum “Workin’ 9 to 5, what a way to make a livin’” in response more often than not. And then I laugh. And then I get mad at Dabney Coleman all over again (look it up, Millennials).
As I hummed it this week – while reading about the holiday events kicking off a Dollywood – I began to wonder what song best describes me and my approach to and at work. Then I wondered about my colleagues. And all of you.
As such, my team and I share the song we think best reflects our approach to work, getting things done, being creative, et al. This is, of course, different than when we shared our walk-up music and personal anthems.
Scott: Chariots Of Fire by Vangelis
Abbie: Workin’ for the Weekend by Loverboy
Alison: I’m in a Hurry by Alabama
Jennifer: Takin’ Care of Business by Bachman-Turner Overdrive
Annelise: Focus by Ariana Grande
Autumn: She Got Her Own by Ne-Yo ft. Jamie Foxx
Marissa: Crazy=Genius by Panic! At The Disco
Okay, we shared. Now, your turn! What is yours?
