Who Will Replace Pat Sajak?

Game show host Pat Sajak will be retiring as host of Wheel of Fortune after next season.

When Alex Trebek retired as host of Jeopardy!, the speculation and race to replace him ran rampant.  In July of last year, after a series of celebrity and other guest hosts, actress, author and neuroscientist Mayim Bialik and Ken Jennings, the show’s all-time winningest player, were named alternating co-hosts of Jeopardy!

When Bob Barker retired as host of the Price is Right, it seemed that Drew Carey adeptly replaced the legend and has remained on the job since 2007.

Let’s Make a Deal has never seemed the same since co-founder Monty Hall retired after 30 years as the host.

So who would be a logical choice to take the reins of Wheel of Fortune?

How about a past winner of the Scripps National Spelling Bee who has since grown into adulthood?  Or maybe the guy who can pronounce just about every word in the English language?  Both would be good choices.

Whether transitioning to a new host of a game or a new CEO of an organization, careful consideration and thoughtful communications are a must.
