PRSA Phoenix Honors the Best of the Best

I have been a member of the Public Relations Society of America for 35 years.  I joined the student chapter while I was at ASU and have continued my membership as a professional all these years. Our staff regularly participates in programs and events throughout the year.

PRSA provides its members with a wealth of professional development programs, learning opportunities and resources to enhance their knowledge at every stage of their career. It also fosters a community of trusted advisors and mentors through networking and special events that enhance the member experience.

Last night, the chapter celebrated the best of the best in public relations campaigns and strategies at its annual Copper Anvil awards.  Judged by industry peers from another chapter, these honors recognize and pay tribute to the quality of work professionals in the Phoenix area are producing on a regular basis.

Also presented last night was the Percy Award, earned by a professional who has demonstrated excellence in the practice of public relations, is an active supporter of PRSA Phoenix and has made positive contributions to the Phoenix community.

Scott and I are both past recipients and had the honor of being a part of the review panel that selected Ryan Narramore, APR, as this year’s recipient. Ryan and I have known each other for years, having served together on PRSA’s Western District board.  Ryan is a dedicated professional who upholds the standards and ethical practices of our industry.  Not one for the spotlight, he is more likely to be in the background making things happen

I’m so glad we could shine a light on his accomplishments.

Past Percy Award Winners: Alan Bunnell, Felice Appell, APR, Ryan Narramore, APR, Marina Renneke, APR, Paula Pedene, APR, and Abbie S. Fink.
