#MediaMonday – The Tishin Update Edition
In September 2011, we profiled proud Arcadian media gal Tishin Donkersley about her life, work and everything in between as part of our regular #MediaMonday profile series. It was a match made in heaven for us and Tishin, as everyone at HMA became quick friends with the then-Green Living AZ editor.
Today, we are pleased to help our buddy announce her newest venture, as she has accepted the editor-in-chief position at AZ Tech Beat, Arizona’s online news source for the technology industry.
With more than 10 years in the media industry, Donkersley has brought credibility, authenticity and leaders in the community to each publication and project. She has been a leader in the area of sustainability and brought this issue to the forefront of the community in Arizona and yielded significant influence throughout the Southwest. She has the same goal, and more, for the technology/software sector in Arizona.
“There is a thriving tech industry in Arizona and those within the ecosystem need attention, resources, and their accomplishments celebrated. By promoting this sector of Arizona, my hope is that companies, investors and talent will take notice and decide to join our ecosystem – ultimately creating jobs for Arizona,” Donkersley said.
“I am super excited about the appointment of Tishin. We’re raising the bar in Arizona’s tech community and the coverage and I can’t wait to see what results,” said Hamid Shojaee, CEO of Axosoft and Founder of AZ Tech Beat.
On April 10th with Donkersley at the helm, AZ Tech Beat will relaunch its site with a new look, direction and vibrancy.
“The goal is to be the leading news source for the Arizona tech industry and provide useful and timely information to those in our community. We will be focused on highlighting advancements in the sector and interactive media trends-as well as being an educational outlet for Arizona startups by tapping into our leaders and seasoned talent in the space,” Donkersley said.
Queries and submissions – not to mention notes of congratulations – can be sent to Donkersley at editor@aztechbeat.com for consideration. Also, be sure to follow updates from Tishin and her team on Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and, of course, www.aztechbeat.com.
