#MediaMonday – Stephanie Bennett

Today’s #MediaMonday comes to us from FOX 10 reporter Stephanie Bennett, who joined the station a few months ago.

Stephanie, time to share:

I am excited to call the desert my new home.

Before joining Fox, I worked as an anchor and reporter for KKCO 11 News & KJCT News 8 in Grand Junction, Colo.  I covered everything from local politics, to snowstorms, and funeral home investigations.

Prior to that I was part of the Fox News Multimedia Reporter Training Program where I worked as a one-woman-band, filming, writing, and editing my own stories from across the country. During that time I extensively covered the 2020 Presidential election, chasing candidates from state to state. I’ve also been at the forefront of the challenges facing the U.S.-Mexico border and covered several major hurricanes in Texas and Louisiana. Other major stories I’ve covered include the 2021 Boulder grocery store shooting, Blue Origin rocket launches, and wildfire coverage, just to name a few.

I began my journalism career in high school in Colorado Springs where I reported for our school district’s local news station. From there I traveled overseas, graduating from Nottingham Trent University in the United Kingdom with a Bachelors’ Degree in Broadcast Journalism. I have dual-nationality of both the UK and USA and enjoy visiting my family as often as possible.

My favorite food is pasta or anything sugar!

I like all varieties of music

An unknown fact out me: I’m bi-accented meaning I’ve grown up going back and forth speaking with a British accent and American depending on whom I’m talking to. Example: I talk to my family and UK friends with a British accent and American colleagues and friends with the American accent!

When I’m not working, I love to travel, hike, ski, and hang out with my fiancé and my dachshund Henry.
