Tell us about who all you are writing for these days?
For several years, I’ve been writing about western towns for Bob Boze Bell at True West Magazine in Cave Creek. I’m also writing for Bonnie Stevens, editor at Flagstaff Business News and Quad Cities Business News , covering the Prescott area. I also do my On the Road Arizona blog and On the Road Arizona Facebook page with a lot of quirky stories on Arizona’s colorful history.
Do you take pitches? Anything you prefer to be pitched over others?
Pitch me on topics related to Flagstaff, Williams, Grand Canyon, Winslow, Holbrook, Sedona and Verde Valley. Also, Prescott, Prescott Valley, Chino Valley and Dewey/Humboldt.
Where did you grow up?
I was born in Omaha and grew up there and in Columbus, Ohio. Go Bucks!
Favorite color?
Green. I’m Irish.
Favorite TV shows or movies?
“Curb Your Enthusiasm” on TV and “Godfather,” “Fargo,” “Anchorman” and “Bridesmaids.”
Three things readers would be surprised to know about you?
I umpired high school baseball with Scott Hanson. I’ve lived in Arizona for a half century.
On a Grand Canyon rafting trip, the boat flipped in Horn Creek Rapid and I had to swim the rapid to shore.
