#MediaMonday – Patricia Valencia

Today’s #MediaMonday comes to us from Patricia Valencia, both an on-air talent for and producer at KTAR FM.

Okay, Patricia, time to share…

Tell us about your role at the station?

I am the producer of the Mike Broomhead show ,and I am also a news anchor during the show, so I do it all!

What kind of pitches, if any, do you prefer? What topics are of most interest to you?

I enjoy when stories involve families and local aspects. I really enjoy inspirational and educational stories.

Where did you grow up?

I was born and raised in Las Cruces, New Mexico.

Favorite TV shows or movies?

I really enjoy mystery and fun comedies and action. Some of my favs include Only Murderers in the Building, Schitt’s Creek. I enjoy older fun movies like Weird Science, and Adam Sandler comedies are my absolute fav.

Favorite color?

Green, but blue is coming in a close second.

Any local spots that you just love?

Since I am not originally from the Valley, I am still figuring out some cool spots so if you know any, send them over!

What is something readers would be surprised to know about you?

I love to sing and have been singing the national anthem around the Valley for ASU athletics, the Suns, the Diamondbacks and most recently the Arizona Cardinals.
