#MediaMonday – Michelle Schneider

Today’s #MediaMonday comes to us from Michelle Schneider, new publisher of Modern Luxury Scottsdale.  Modern Luxury is the country’s largest local luxury media company with 84 titles in the top 24 markets in the United States, including places like Scottsdale, Aspen and The Hamptons, to name a few.
Michelle, time to share:
I started my media/publishing career in 1988 in Dallas  — local newspapers, city publications and a minute in radio. I spent 20-plus years in the visitor, travel, hospitality space as publisher of WHERE Phoenix+ Scottsdale. It was very bittersweet leaving WHERE. However, I could not be happier about being the publisher of Modern Luxury and having the opportunity to work with such an amazing and talented team.
I enjoy dining out, a mani/pedi, spa day with a best friend or my Mom and never turn down a new pair of shoes!!!
Hawaii is always a “go-to” for us, since we have Hani family in Oahu. We always enjoy a summer vacation with friends in Montana, as well as weekend get-aways to Flagstaff. As they say, you can take the girl out of Texas, but you can’t take Texas out of the girl, so a visit or two each year back to Dallas-Ft. Worth to visit best friends and my little sister are always on the calendar.
We love to cook and entertain – big or small. Those that are close to me know that Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday of the year. We typically host 18-30 for a sit-down dinner, fine wine, fine china and, most importantly, we celebrate love and friendship!
