#MediaMonday – Jennifer Jones
Media Monday
Each Monday, we are posting a blog to help our readers get to know the media just a little bit better.
With a TWIST!
No, we aren’t posting story pitch tips or media lists, but instead great stories from the media themselves about their lives, their work and other little known facts! Think of it as your first “networking” opportunity of the week!
Today’s #MediaMonday comes to us from Jennifer Jones, managing editor of the Local News Share between our local CBS, FOX and ABC affiliates.
So, Jen, time to share!
What do you want to tell the blogosphere about yourself today?
Jen: I graduated from the Cronkite School at Arizona State University and began my career as a producer for ABC 15. After two years producing the morning news, I left ABC 15 and went to CBS 5 News. I have performed various tasks for CBS 5 including producing, writing, assignment editing, planning and special projects.
I currently am the Managing Editor for the Local News Share between CBS, FOX and ABC. It’s been a great experience.
And, little known fact, I am the current president of the Rocky Mountain Southwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences – and have been for three years. I am also on the board of a newly formed non-profit called Angels on Patrol. Check us out – we are going to help so many wonderful kids!
