During a recent media training workshop, a client asked our team about the importance of the media in today’s ever-evolving world of marketing communications.

Abbie’s answer about the on-going importance of the media, especially how it relates to one’s business, was a good one:

Media generates awareness and understanding of your organization among consumers, elected officials, donors, influencers and the community-at-large; it builds name and brand recognition; it provides us with an opportunity to demonstrate thought-leadership; and it is an opportunity to advocate and position your organization as the leader in the social services arena. And finally, it provides third-party credibility.
