Intro to Marissa

Hi everyone! My name is Marissa Baker and I am joining the team at HMA as an intern.  I’m excited to share my thoughts with you through our weekly blog posts.  To get to know me better, I thought it would be great to kick off #FunFactFriday by sharing some interesting facts about myself.

Growing up I enjoyed playing the viola and singing in Phoenix Girls Chorus, but as an adult I much prefer being in the audience.  It is a safe bet that you will find me in the first row at any concert.

My sister is my best friend and we love going on action-filled adventures such as hiking, skiing and kayaking.

If leaving the Valley of the Sun for snowy winters in Nebraska while I was attending Creighton University wasn’t adventurous enough, I decided to jet off to Ireland for a semester to travel solo all throughout Europe.
I interned previously as marketing coordinator at Fontenelle Forest.  Part of our mission was to recover and rehabilitate injured raptors which deepened my love for nature.
I was born on Leap Day! This means that my birthday only comes once every four years.
