#FunFactFriday Holiday Edition: Fun in the workplace

Today is the start of the two month countdown until Christmas! This means that marketing your brand will mingle with the age-old debate of whether or not it is too early for Christmas, which we recently covered in a blog post. Though Christmas may feel far away, there is no doubt the holiday season is in full swing. That’s why we’ve decided to make today’s Fun Fact Friday about creative ways to incorporate the holidays at work.

  1. Every company has a holiday party. Make yours stand out by having an interactive game such as a white elephant or secret Santa. This helps continue building the relationships between team members which is evident to customers and clients.
  2. The holidays are all about giving. Put up a donation box at your workplace for a charity your team would like to support. It could be as simple as food donations and as grandiose as donating a Christmas tree. Look here for more charities that need your help.
  3. Reach out to your influencers now, if you haven’t already. Last year, marketers saw more than a $6 to $1 ROI on influencer marketing. If you don’t have a campaign to put together for the next couple months, still reach out to thank them and wish them happy holidays.
  4. Embrace the wacky national holidays during this time. You could bring in a dozen doughnuts into the office or even do a social media giveaway on National Doughnut Day (Nov. 5). Or reach out to old clients, friends on World Kindness Day (Nov. 6) or National Stress Awareness Day (Nov. 13) to check in.

No matter what you decide to do this holiday season, there are always fun ways to fill the workplace with holiday cheer! Does your workplace do something fun during the holiday season? Let us know in the comments below!
