Western-Themed Kick-off Party Planned at UltraStar Multi-tainment Center at Ak-Chin Circle
MARICOPA, Ariz. (October 3, 2013) –The UltraStar Multi-tainment Center at Ak-Chin Circle transforms its amphitheater into a country festival for all ages on Oct. 11 at 5 p.m. as it hosts a Western-themed event in anticipation of the upcoming Scottsdale Showdown. The
family-friendly kick-off event will include an authentic chuck wagon and features an appearance by Tuff Hedeman, Championship CBR Bull Rider ”The Dina Preston Band,” winner of the 2012 Gig Master Award, will entertain guests with a mix of Country and Southern Rock music. Concessions will be available including BBQ, and a variety of other food and beverages. All venues at the UltraStar Multi-tainment Center at Ak-Chin Circle (including bowling, arcade, laser tag, restaurants, lounge and movies) will be open as usual for business during this event.
“As an enterprise of the Ak-Chin Indian Community, we are excited to have the opportunity to throw our own pre-party in anticipation of the Scottsdale Showdown, a first-ever Championship Bull Riding event at WestWorld,” said Adam Saks, general manager and vice president of operations of UltraStar Multi-tainment Center at Ak-Chin Circle.
The Ak-Chin Indian Community is sponsoring the Scottsdale Showdown, which is being produced by the Scottsdale Charros. The similarities in mission of the Ak-Chin Indian Community and the Scottsdale Charros’ – to preserve the heritage of the community and to support the youth — make this the perfect partnership.
