W.J. Maloney Plumbing, Heating & Cooling Begins Work On New VA Southeast Healthcare Clinic
W.J. Maloney Plumbing, Heating & Cooling has begun work on the new Veteran’s Administration Southeast Healthcare Clinic in Gilbert.
W.J. Maloney Plumbing, Heating & Cooling is responsible for the design/build of all the plumbing and medical gas systems on the 60,000 square-foot project, which will meet healthcare standards for LEED-Silver certification. McShane Construction Company is the general contractor.
The new facility, expected to be completed in mid-2014, will provide outpatient healthcare services to more than 19,000 veterans in Maricopa County and parts of Pinal and Gila counties.
Healthcare continues to be a strong niche for W.J. Maloney Plumbing, Heating & Cooling, as the contractor recently completed work on the Orthopedic and Spine Inpatient Surgical (OASIS) Hospital in Phoenix, a 94,000 square-foot total joints and spine specialties hospital featuring eight operating rooms and 68 beds.
