Thatcher Subway Earns Statewide “Store of the Month” Honor

Subway Restaurants of Arizona, celebrating its 30th anniversary throughout 2013, is pleased to announce its Subway Restaurant located at 2051 W. Highway 70 in Thatcher has been named the “Store of the Month” for June.  This location beat out the nearly 500 other Subway Restaurants in Arizona for the honor due to hard work from all of its sandwich artists and leadership from manager Ryan Daugard, who has led the location for nearly six years, as well as area director Jason Highsmith, with the team for more than 12 years now.

“We treat everyone that walks through the door as our most important customer, we want them to feel welcomed, and enjoy their visit to our restaurant,” says Daugard, noting customers also love their daily dose of humor while stopping by for their meals.  “It’s common to hear quotes like, ‘Adding bacon increases the flavor by 84 percent’ while ordering from our smiling team.”

It comes to no surprise that this location gets many customer compliments both online at www.tellsubway.com, but also written on napkins and handed directly to staff. Long-time Subway team member Les White, a franchisee for 18 years, owns the location as well as more than 40 others in Arizona. As part of the honor, the store will be displaying the traveling “Store of the Month” trophy all month long, and the staff will both be wearing custom uniforms and eligible for individual prizes. This is the first time this store has been honored. The restaurant is now eligible for the coveted 2013 “Store of the Year” honors, which will be given out at the end of the year.
