Robert Baber Appointed to Board of Directors for the Arizona Commission for the Deaf and the Hard of Hearing

(Phoenix, Ariz.) – Governor Jan Brewer has appointed Robert Baber to the board of directors for the Arizona Commission for the Deaf and the Hard of Hearing (ACDHH) for his second term.

As a Commissioner, Baber will continue to provide expertise as a licensed hearing aid dispenser to the other members of the commission to ensure the interests of deaf and hard of hearing individuals in Arizona are met based on current conditions. In his role, he will also act as an advocate for the deaf and the hard of hearing, providing access to the best services across the state.

“We are excited to have an advocate like Robert to help make changes and pave the way for the deaf and hard of hearing community for years to come,” said Sherri Collins, executive director of ACDHH. “He makes a great addition to our team and we are thankful to have him supporting our mission.”

Baber is currently a member of the International Hearing Society and the president of the Hearing Healthcare providers of Arizona. In addition, he is also national board certified in hearing instrument sciences and is a licensed hearing dispenser.

Baber is a resident of Phoenix.
