The lab serves as a training center for apprentices in the testing and balancing of air conditioning and fire/life systems – critical to the safety of all commercial buildings. SMACNA Arizona contractors, who support the new lab and the JATC, lead the heating, ventilating and air conditioning industry by setting the highest standards of performance, service and safety. SMACNA is an international association of union contractors in the sheet metal and air conditioning industry representing 4,500 contributing contractor firms.
