HMA Public Relations Honored with Three Copper Anvil Awards; Vice President and General Manager Abbie S. Fink Named Percy Award Winner
HMA Public Relations, recognized regionally as a leader in public relations and marketing communications, took home three Copper Anvil Awards at the Public Relations Society of America Phoenix Chapter’s (PRSA Phoenix) 2013 Copper Anvil ceremony, which took place at Clayton on the Park in Scottsdale on Thursday, August 29 and celebrates outstanding work in the public relations field each year.
The Copper Anvil Awards, three of only 10 awarded during this year’s ceremony, were presented to HMA in the categories of “Publicity/Promotion: Feature Story” for a project with client Arizona Breast Cancer Specialists; “Op-Ed/Editorial” for its work on the first-ever Arizona Gives Day; and “Crisis Communications” for its work on the most recent City of Phoenix Bus Strike on with client Veolia Communications.
In addition to the Anvils, HMA Vice President and General Manager Abbie S. Fink was surprised during the event – and by her parents – when the chapter honored her with the Percy Award. The Percy Award is earned by a professional who has demonstrated excellence in the practice of public relations, is an active supporter of Phoenix PRSA and has made positive contributions to the Phoenix community. The award is only given when a panel of past recipients agrees on a deserving practitioner.
