First Ever Live & Local Event to Celebrate Best in Arizona Food, Music and Spirits
One of the Valley’s newest events, Live & Local presented by GoDaddy, will take place on Sunday, Nov. 3 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Scottsdale Civic Center Mall. The event, sponsored by NOVA Home Loans, will celebrate the best in Arizona food, music and spirits with an extensive culinary and entertainment lineup including local restaurant and beverage partners, entertainers and more. All event proceeds benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale and event opportunities are available at www.liveandlocal.bgcs.org.
In total, the event will feature dozens of local wine, spirit and restaurant tastings including the following partial list:

In addition to gourmet foods and beverages, the event will also feature live entertainment with some of the best and brightest bands in the Valley headlined by national recording artist Kelley James. James’ music is a fascinating collection of acoustic guitars, hip-hop beats, thoughtful lyrics and freestyle flows. He currently released his new album The Pattern Transcending in September 2013 featuring the single “That’s My Girl.” He has toured the nation with acts including Mike Posner, O.A.R., Shwayze and Joshua Radin.
Also joining James on stage are opening acts Scott Keo and Obadiah Parker. Keo is a veteran of the music industry as both a premiere Michael Bublé tribute act and an experienced singer/songwriter. Parker’s YouTube video of a live performance of “Hey Ya” became a breakout hit in 2007, topping the iTunes singer-songwriter charts for the year. In 2011 Parker released The Siren and The Saint, his first full length offering of original material.
Other major event sponsors include The Bob & Renee Parsons Foundation, Chasse Building Team, Scottsdale Active 20-30, Off Madison Avenue, Republic Services and Charles Schwab. Scottsdale Insurance will also be sponsoring “Safe Ride Home” which offers guests a complimentary cab ride home from the event.
