(Maricopa, Ariz.) Agave’s Restaurant, located in Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino Resort, has unveiled new menu items for 2013, including the Casino’s newest attraction: The seven-pound Blackjack Breakfast platter.

The $21 Blackjack Breakfast consists of one dozen eggs, one pound of cheese, one pound of sausage, one pound of potatoes and a half pound of bacon sandwiched between two 12-inch pancakes and topped with a slab of butter. Anyone who chooses to accept the challenge will have 30 minutes to eat the Blackjack by his or herself. Those who succeed will receive the breakfast platter free of charge and win a commemorative t-shirt.

Harrah’s will donate all the proceeds made from Blackjack Breakfast sales to F.O.R. Maricopa, a family resource center and food bank, through Harrah’s HERO program. The HERO program is made up of employee volunteers who make noteworthy, visible contributions to the community by lending their time, skills, expertise and caring to dozens of volunteer projects throughout the community.

“We have been re-vamping our menu, and we wanted to include Agave’s in our HERO program,” said Chef Colin Ribble, executive chef at Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino Resort. “That’s when we came up with the Blackjack Breakfast. It’s fun for the patrons to participate in and gives us the chance to raise more for the community. Plus, it’s delicious!”

Other new menu items being served at Agave’s Restaurant include American-style dining options for breakfast and lunch. Breakfast selections include seven types of Eggs Benedict, skillets, omelets, griddle items and house favorites. Lunch options include soup and salad, several burger options and a variety of gourmet sandwiches.
