AAED to Host Northern Arizona Economic Development Regional Symposium
The Arizona Association for Economic Development (AAED) will host the 2013 Northern Arizona Economic Development Regional Symposium, November 21 at Cottonwood Recreation Center in Cottonwood.
The symposium, “Case Studies in Success,” will focus on economic successes in Northern Arizona. Economic development managers from the Northern Arizona area will share their success stories and expertise on their successes with using various marketing and economic development tools.
Panelists will include John Saltonstall, business retention and expansion manager for the city of Flagstaff; Robert Riley, economic development director for Kingman Airport Authority, Inc.; Steve Ayers, economic development director for the town of Camp Verde; and Alexandria Wright, director of the Regional Economic Development Center at Yavapai College. John Stigman, vice president, Economic Collaborative of Northern Arizona, will serve as moderator and speaker.

AAED was originally founded in 1974 as the Arizona Association for Industrial Development (AAID). The organization, which was dedicated to expanding the industrial and economic base of Arizona, changed to its current name in 1991 to better reflect its broader mission.
