Celebrating Diversity in Public Relations

Our team at HMA Public Relations first met Debra A. Miller, Ed.D., APR, Fellow PRSA, when she became a client of ours back in 2014. Over the years, we’ve been proud to call her more than a colleague, but a friend.
Last year, in celebration of Black History Month, PRSA invited leaders in the public relations profession to offer their views on diversity and inclusion and their ideas for achieving greater diversity in the industry. Debi’s op-ed on the topic was an amazing one, and a good read still available here.
But this year, as we recognize Black History Month and focus on the continued work toward diversity in public relations, we were tickled to see more than just a post bylined by Debi. The team at Burson-Marsteller shined the spotlight directly on our friend and her many accomplishments in a great video tribute, available here.  It’s most definitely worth a watch. And, on the heels of that, the student chapter of PRSA (PRSSA) also featured her here.
