What Lessons Can Be Learned From Ivan Reitman?
While I was out of town last week; I learned that Ivan Reitman passed away.
In his honor, here are some lessons – both applicable to business and life – we can all take from his works:
Ghostbusters: a good team can accomplish anything; even saving the world.
Private Parts: don’t judge a book by its cover.
No Strings Attached: there are almost always strings attached.
I Love You, Man: find balance.
Old School: stop and smell the roses.
Space Jam: contributions can come from the most unlikely of places.
Kindergarten Cop: never stop learning.
Dave: the cream always rises.
Animal House: extra-curriculars matter.
Oh, and while not a business or life lesson, the under-appreciated 1979 film Meatballs by Reitman taught us, of course, that Bill Murray is THE MAN.
