What is the Color of 2024?

Pantone has officially announced the color of the year for 2024 and it’s called “Peach Fuzz.” According to Pantone, Peach Fuzz was chosen for its warmth and representation of nourishment as we long for connection and closeness in 2024.

To determine the color every year, experts at Pantone considered influences of all types including art, film, technology, socio-economic conditions, sports, fashion, travel, materials and more.

With the rollout of the color of the year, Pantone seizes the opportunity to maximize impact by collaborating with brands, such as Motorola and Polaroid to create Peach Fuzz cellphones and instant camera film. Pantone has even created a guide on how we can incorporate Peach Fuzz into our lives through clothing, beauty, graphic design, and more.

2023 was deemed the year of Viva Magenta, a vibrant mix of pink and purple. The color was chosen to represent joy and celebration as well as bravery and a “new signal of strength” to match the unconventional times that we live in. Did this color represent your 2023?

Pantone’s color of the year announcement not only presents a significant marketing opportunity for the brand but has also established itself as a yearly staple since its first announcement in 2000, setting the tone for the year ahead.

From building brand identity and maintaining awareness with the public to shaping emotions through psychology, color is significant in communications and an important part of your efforts in branding.
