What Are Arizona’s Fastest Growing Cities?
A few months ago, I wrote about where new Arizonans from outside the state were coming from.
U.S. Census figures now show that our state has five of the nation’s 15 fastest-growing cities. They are:
- Queen Creek (3)
- Buckeye (4)
- Casa Grande (7)
- Maricopa (8)
- Goodyear (11)
Interesting that Pinal County is home to three of the 15.
Texas cities Georgetown and Leander ranked one and two, while New Braunfels was fifth.
Economic development organizations in each of those municipalities have their hands full in attracting new businesses to their areas and to ensure they have what’s needed for their growth and sustainability and are also good fit for the community. This places a high priority on their communications efforts.
The population growth was measured between July 1, 2020 and July 1, 2021. Cities with at least 50,000 residents saw the largest percentage of population growth.
Figures like these bode well for businesses in those locations, including PR agencies who provide communications counsel for expanding companies.
