The Vatican is following digital trends, are you?
It’s no secret that brands are forever changing to keep up with emerging digital trends and tech savvy individuals who chase them, but did you think you’d ever see the Vatican jump on board?
The Vatican recently launched a digital rosary called “eRosary” to help teach its younger and technology driven audience how to pray with rosary with visual and audio explanations.
The eRosary is a bracelet that is made up of 10 beads and a cross that is activated when the user makes the sign of a cross.
After being synced with the app, the wearer can select a rosary prayer and track their progress.
This isn’t the Vatican’s first move into the digital world; last year they released a religious version of the popular game Pokémon Go, and the Pope also joined Instagram and Twitter in recent years.
The eRosary and other digital efforts from the Vatican not only supports the goal of trying to reach millennials and Generation Z, but also remind us all how you can adapt to technology trends and still maintain traditional values.
