#MediaMonday – Zach Crenshaw
Today’s Media Monday comes to us from Zach Crenshaw at ABC15. Zach was recently promoted to weekend evening anchor at the station, joining Danielle Lerner on the anchor desk.
Zach, time to share:
What’s your story?
I grew up in Indiana and Japan, where I lived for five years with my family. I always had a passion for journalism and storytelling and knew I wanted to get into news. I chose to go to DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind., where I was in the Media Fellows Honor Program.
Prior to coming to ABC15, I worked as a reporter in Memphis, Tenn., and South Bend, Ind.
I joined ABC15 in 2018 as a nightside reporter.
During my time here I’ve exposed problems with the Arizona Department of Child Safety, highlighted police misconduct and spent days reporting in the thick of civil and political protests. I am passionate about telling stories that impact people’s lives and hold the powerful accountable.
I am thrilled to continue working for ABC15 and the viewers across Arizona.
Favorite food?
I’d probably say my grandma’s spaghetti and meatballs. She’s Italian, so tons of garlic – and it’s just the ultimate comfort food.
Least favorite?
This is even more difficult – I like everything. But not a fan of beets or fruit in my salad.
A little-known fact about me…
I married my college sweetheart – and our dads actually knew each other in college. They went to the same small university in Indiana where we met 25 years later.
