#MediaMonday – Just Misty

Every Monday, HMA introduces you to a member of the media! Last week we featured Jeff, co-host of Jeff ‘n Misty Mornings and this week we will feature his partner in crime, Misty.
Misty is the program and production director at El Dorado Broadcasters and co-host of Jeff ‘n Misty Mornings on 95.1 KTTI.
She first visited Yuma in 1996 and knew immediately that she was in love with the town. Her priorities were with her husband and his job which required them to travel and move quite a bit. When they finally decided that it was time to stop traveling Yuma was where they decided to call home.
Misty now resides in Yuma with her husband and two daughters Hailey and Makyla. In their free time they enjoy four-wheeling, swimming and hanging out together.

What do you want to tell the blogosphere about yourself today?
I have really enjoyed getting to know and work with so many of the different people in our community. Serving alongside charitable organizations, business people and city leaders to help support educate and entertain the citizens of Yuma.
We have such a diverse population, from our winter visitors to our migrant workers… the military and border patrol to our city’s entrepreneurs. I love emceeing events that gather us all together. I’m so intrigued by the people that I meet on a daily basis and the part that they play in our city.
As a Zumba instructor seeing people catch the fitness bug and discover new happiness and health is probably one of my biggest joys.
I feel so lucky to have the position that I have in the media.
I love my job and the relationships that it has afforded me.
