#MediaMonday – DHN, Peyton Gallovich and Melissa Yingst Huber
I am really excited for today’s #MediaMonday video blog post. I connected with the ladies from DHN via the collaboration they have with one of our clients, The Arizona Commission for the Deaf and the Hard of Hearing.
Today, by video, we are featuring Peyton Gallovich, co-CEO/executive producer and Melissa Yingst Huber, co-CEO/executive producer/anchor of DHN.
DHN is a news agency, shown on local channels and online, that incorporates American Sign Language, spoken English and captions into each broadcast. DHN is also the first news show to involve all three forms of communication and provide information relevant to everyone, whether they are involved in the Deaf community or not. Please note, if you don’t see the captions in the video below, you need to make sure to click on the closed-captioning button on the bottom right.
In their video blog, Peyton and Melissa will give you an overview of DHN and what they enjoy outside of their constant volunteer involvement with DHN. It is also important to know that Peyton is a junior at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University (ASU) and Melissa is a school counselor at Phoenix Day School for the Deaf (PDSD), where she works with Deaf children in K-12.
Ladies- what do you want to tell the blogosphere about yourself today?
