#MediaMonday – Brad Perry

Today’s #MediaMonday has spent more than 20 years waking people up on morning television. It’s Brad Perry, who is now a co-host of Arizona Daily Mix on AZTV!
Brad, time to share!

I started my career behind-the-scenes as a production assistant on different movies that were being filmed in Chicago. I was a stand in/double for Damon Wayans for the movie “Mo Money.” Yes, I really was!

There is always a guy (or gal) that warms up the audience before daytime talk shows. I was that guy for the Jenny Jones Show, then the Danny Bonaduce Show and eventually the Mark Walberg Show. I got noticed by a producer for WGN’s Morning Show and was asked to fill in for a week, which turned into two months.

I got lured to Arizona in January 1998, when the high was 75 and it was 30-below in Chicago. Good Morning Arizona on AZFamily hired me to be me; fun, crazy and unpredictable, which was what Good Morning Arizona was all about at the time. I did that several years before making my way to California for a spell.

When I returned three years ago to Arizona, I was looking to get back on television. I sat down and talked with Lynn London, CEO of AZTV, who wanted to get back to that local fun that she remembered television to be in Arizona. She felt I was that person to help.
The Daily Mix is the show to find out what is happening around the Valley and beyond. We are looking for local, fun, entertaining segments that give our viewers information.
