#MediaMonday – Blanca Esparza-Pap
You know her.
You love her.
Today’s #MediaMonday focuses on a gal beloved by the local PR, civic and fellow broadcast community – 3TV’s Blanca Esparza-Pap. A calming force for good, this multi-tasking momma to a four-year-old harnesses her powers of organization and enthusiasm as the community relations manager for 3TV, effectively utilizing local television to make Arizona a better place to live, work and raise a family for all.
This month, I got the chance to turn the tables on this behind-the-camera gal by putting her front and center in 202 Magazine as a local hero making a difference.
Be sure to check out all of the good she is affecting – especially her work, for which we are also assisting this year, on the Governor’s Commission on Service and Volunteerism and 2-1-1 Arizona, a resource organization whose mission is to connect people and services together to meet the vital needs in the state.
Thanks in great part to Esparza-Pap’s efforts, the website connected to the organization, http://211arizona.volunteermatch.org/, allows organizations to publish and recruit for their volunteer opportunities, plus track volunteer hours.
“Through the site, thanks to our partnership with The Arizona Commission on Service and Volunteerism, we are challenging all Arizonans to commit to 100 hours of community service by February 2013,” said Esparza-Pap. “It’s our Arizona Centennial Challenge.”
Let’s all show our support by starting to log our many volunteer hours – whaddaya say?
