#MediaMonday – Adriana Desiderio
Today’s #MediaMonday comes to us from Adriana Desiderio, a freelance writer for Fabulous California.
Adriana, time to share!
How did you get your start in the media? What is your story?
When I first started my career, I was the media! Born and raised in Arizona, I got my first job after graduating from the University of Arizona at the Fox affiliate in Phoenix. I wrote for our website and handled the two biggest social media accounts at the time: Twitter and Facebook. A few years later, I crossed over to the wonderful world of public relations as a consultant for Chick-fil-A. I traveled across the country spreading the word about Chick-fil-A’s grand openings and the opportunity for fans to win Chick-fil-A for a year. At that point, I had moved to sunny Orange County and was ready to put down roots in my new state. I started working at Cambro Manufacturing, handling their digital communications, such as social media, press releases and blogs. When the opportunity to join Fabulous California presented itself, I was thrilled! I love California and I am so happy to show people some of the best places and things to do.
Tell us about your beat at Fabulous California?
As you can imagine, everything we feature is…fabulous! From as far south as San Diego to as far north as Healdsburg, I am fortunate to try some of the best restaurants and hotels that California has to offer. Some places I’ve been to before, some I’ve only heard about and some are brand new to me. I’ve always loved eating out and traveling, and being able to write about these two activities are a dream come true!

I am obsessed with Severance and cannot wait for the next season!

Postino with the girls and Pizzeria Mozza for date night

I’m engaged, I’m a certified scuba diver, and I despise mushrooms.
