Is it already Fall?
Today kicks off the first day of Autumn, so as I mentioned last year – cue up all the fall jokes related to my name.
Typically, we welcome Fall by being excited for the temperatures to finally cool down, football returning, making travel plans for the holidays and reflecting on the things we are thankful for as Thanksgiving approaches, but with a year like 2020, I think we can all say we are excited to be one step closer to 2021 and have spent most of quarantine being extra thankful.
While we can hardly wait for the new year, we can’t forget to take this opportunity of reflection to show our appreciation for our community, clients and colleagues which may look a little different this year since we are most likely still working from home.
I think the best recommendation I can make going into the Autumn season is taking a page out of Abbie’s book and sending a handwritten card or letter. There is something extra authentic and personal of someone taking a few seconds to write and tell someone “thank you” especially when you are unable to see them outside of a computer screen.
And as we always say back home in the Midwest, “happy fall y’all!”
