Get Wack(er)ed Out with Us!
As most of you know, the team at HMA has been working hard to help plan and promote the PRSA Western District Conference, which is coming to the Valley for the first time in decades next week. In fact, our own Abbie S. Fink is co-chair of the whole kitten caboodle with PR buddy, Michelle Olson. (quick shameless plug, get your conference tickets here!)
What some of you may not know is that on top of the planned interactive roundtable discussions, informative workshop sessions and numerous networking and social opportunities, the conference is hosting QUITE the keynote speaker breakfast on Friday, April 19 at the Kimpton FireSky Resort & Spa and you are all invited to see him even if you can’t make the entire conference!
Who is it, you ask?
Celebrated futurist and past Time Magazine Person of the Year” Watts Wacker!
As CEO of FirstMatter LLC, Watts has focused his attention on creating a new kind of think tank, and he describes himself as a 21st Century alchemist as well as a cross between James Brown and the unknown comic, (the hardest working nobody in the business.) He has authored four books, which have gone on to become international bestsellers as well as required reading at many of the world’s finest business schools. His fourth book, What’s Your Story? Storytelling to Move Markets, Audiences, People and Brands, was a finalist for advertising/marketing book of the year.
“Renaissance man Wacker, a lecturer, best-selling author, political commentator and social critic, is one of the most celebrated and influential minds in modern business,” says Abbie. “His uncommon versatility and vision has allowed him to help the world’s top corporations and organizations navigate the sea of change that is taking hold in the new millennium, and we look forward to him sharing this vision in Arizona.”
“Wacker was the original consulting pollster to the Fox News Division and directed the Time Magazine Poll,” adds Michelle. “This is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to interact with one of the 50 most influential business thinkers in the world.”
