#FunFactFriday – HMA Business Cards
For today’s #FunFactFriday I wanted to share a fun story about how business cards change over the years.
After interning with HMA over the summer, I’ve joined the team fulltime as a junior account coordinator! Not only am I thrilled to be working with the team on a more permanent basis, I’m excited to finally have my business cards, which Autumn and I agree make the move feel more official.
As communicators, we all seem to have stories surrounding business cards, and mine came this weekend while doing some fall cleaning.
As my mom and I sorted through cabinets, I came across an old wallet of hers with receipts from the year I was born, 1996.
While thumbing through the 23-year-old artifacts, I cam across a stack of business cards that included a nail salon, a massage therapist and a lawyer. And wouldn’t you know it, the next business card I saw was Abbie S. Fink’s from Hanson, Moser & Associates!
Grabbing one of my freshly printed business cards, I was eager to see the changes in the design over the last two decades. We now have cell phone numbers, email addresses and Twitter handles – a few things that didn’t exist or weren’t mobile more than 20 years ago. We have also shortened our name to HMA Public Relations, keeping the same logo.
Looking at these business cards side-by-side makes me proud to be part of a team that has been well-respected and established in the industry for so many years.
