CSOM – From Arizona to Africa: Global PR Trends & Kenyan Culture at the PRGN Conference in Nairobi
I returned from the Public Relations Global Network conference in Nairobi, Kenya just over a week ago. Yes, sit with that for a minute. I traveled nearly 10,000 miles to attend a professional development conference with our Network partners in AFRICA!! It is still hard for me to believe.
In between discussions on generative AI, the impact of global politics on new business development, and growth strategies for our agencies, we learned a few Swahili words and interacted with some of the nicest, most hospitable people, all of whom were happy to share more about their culture and heritage.
And of course, there was trip to Amboseli National Park for a two-day safari. There really are no words to describe that incredible experience of seeing these majestic animals in their natural environment. How no matter where we travelled from or what our world view might be, being in the presence of such beauty really makes you appreciate how privileged we are to see this first-hand.
Adrian was able to join us for the meetings, acting as a facilitator for some of our discussions and leading a session on podcasting. It was nice to be in the same room with him for a change.
This episode of Copper State of Mind has us sharing our insights and takeaways. I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as we did.
Asante sana.
