(PHOENIX – Feb. 19, 2016) – Zerorez of Phoenix is pleased to announce that for the fifth year in a row it will be donating a percentage of its overall sales for the entire month of March to Phoenix Children’s Hospital (PCH), with a goal of raising at least $5,000 to support the efforts of the award-winning hospital and its team.
“Over the past four years, we’ve been able to collect a more than $20,000 for PHC, with all the funds being used to directly impact research and care for the children at the hospital,” said Casey Ashdown, co-founder of Zerorez Phoenix.
For Ashdown and the Zerorez team, many of whom are fathers and mothers themselves, the cause is especially personal.
“One of my daughters, Camryn, was born at just 24 weeks, weighing only one pound and ten ounces. I have seen firsthand the tireless work that doctors, nurses and the rest of the staff at Arizona’s amazing hospitals do each and every day,” said Ashdown. “The fact that we can – even in just this small way – help these heroes and their tiny patients is among the proudest accomplishments of being small business owners in this community.”
In addition to this annual program, Zerorez of Phoenix is regularly active in the community with its two community outreach programs – The Rezoteer Volunteer Program and Zero 2 Hero.
“The Rezoteer Volunteer Program provides the Zerorez staff and their family members a way to get involved with volunteer projects in their local communities and to share in the benefits of giving back alongside their co-workers,” said Ashdown. “While Zero 2 Hero helps to raise and donate funds to organizations serving children across the Valley, as we are doing with PCH throughout March.”
