W.J. Maloney Plumbing, Heating & Cooling Tapped for HVAC Work At La Loma Village Expansion in Litchfield Park
W.J. Maloney Plumbing, Heating & Cooling has begun work on the expansion and renovation of the 353-acre La Loma Village senior living complex in Litchfield Park, owned and operated by nonprofit Sun Health .
W.J. Maloney Plumbing, Heating & Cooling is responsible for the HVAC on the project, including duct work and chilled water systems. Plans call for adding 45 new water source heat pumps to the existing facility.
The Weitz Company is the general contractor.
Highlights of the project include upgrades and expansion of a 6,400-square-foot rehabilitation gymnasium, creation of an occupational therapy suite, addition of a community café/community education center, creation of 10 new one-bedroom assisted living apartments and two new casitas, both featuring two bedrooms/two- bath as well as a two-car garage.
Healthcare continues to be a strong niche for W.J. Maloney Plumbing, Heating & Cooling, as the contractor is working on the Veteran’s Administration’s Southeast Healthcare Clinic in Gilbert and St. Joseph’s Hospital’s West Valley Medical Facility in Glendale and recently completed work on the Orthopedic and Spine Inpatient Surgical (OASIS) Hospital in Phoenix, a 94,000 square-foot total joints and spine specialties hospital featuring eight operating rooms and 68 beds.
