The Foster Group Announces Appointment of Milca Altamirano as Associate Attorney

(PHOENIX – May 3, 2024) – Milca Altamirano has joined The Foster Group, a leading employment law firm in Phoenix, as an associate attorney.

A Tucson native, Altamirano joined The Foster Group as a legal associate prior to successfully passing the Arizona State Bar Examination, bringing significant legal experience and dedication to advocacy for social justice and marginalized communities.

Altamirano pursued her undergraduate studies at the University of Arizona, earning a bachelor’s degree in gender and women’s studies with a minor in Spanish and pre-law. She continued her education at the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctor.

Altamirano is fluent in Spanish and English. She has previously worked with organizations including the Workers’ Rights Clinic, the Federal Public Defender’s Clinic, the Florence Immigrant and Refugee Rights Project, and Southern Arizona Legal Aid, where she honed her legal writing and research skills providing legal services to under-resourced families as well as detained adults and children facing the threat of deportation.
