SMACNA Arizona Poker Run

Lynn Bowen (left), a retired member of SMART Local 359,   won first prize of $300 in the Eighth Annual SMACNA Arizona Wheels for Meals Poker Run. Bowen had a high hand of four aces.  George Ganem (center) had the second-best hand, with four threes.  He won $200. Dave Brooks (right) had a full-house, good for third place. Both Ganem and Brooks were guests of SMART Local 359.   Sixty riders participated in the event, which benefited the Area Agency on Aging’s home meal delivery program. The poker run was hosted by SMACNA Arizona (the Arizona Chapter of the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association), P.I.P.E. (Piping Industry Progress and Education Trust Fund) and NECA (the Arizona Chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association), along with members of SMART, Local 359;  UA, Local 469; and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 640.   For more information follow SMACNA Arizona on Facebook or visit www.smacna-az.org.
