REDW Advisors & CPAs Promotes Thomas Miller MBA, JD, LL.M as Principal; Industry Veteran to Lead National SALT Practice
(ALBUQUERQUE – July 28, 2025) — REDW Advisors & CPAs is pleased to announce the promotion of Thomas Miller, MBA, JD, LL.M as Principal in its Tax Services practice, where he will lead the firm’s growing State and Local Tax (SALT) group. In his role, Miller will continue to provide specialized expertise for multistate taxes, offering high-value consulting services that help growing businesses unearth tax-savings and achieve compliance in all 50 states while mentoring up-and-coming talent and collaborating on business development. Miller will serve each of REDW’s four U.S. offices across Albuquerque, Oklahoma City, Phoenix, and Salem, as well as the firm’s remote and global workforce, working with clients nationwide.
Diligent and meticulous in SALT and well-versed in tax law, Miller brings more than 15 years of experience to REDW’s SALT practice, previously as the SALT Tax Director at Grant Thornton LLP, where he oversaw the indirect tax functions for the firm’s Philadelphia practice, and as the SALT Tax Manager at Citrin Cooperman & Company, LLP and Competitive Power Ventures Inc., respectively. He also holds experience from Tegna Inc., KPMG, LLP, and PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP.

Miller earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration as well as in Philosophy from The University of Scranton. He holds both a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Juris Doctor (JD) from The Pennsylvania State University. Miller also earned a Master of Laws (LL.M.) with a concentration in State Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center. Based in Pennsylvania, Miller is a board member for the City of Scranton, where he is focused on assisting the Civil Services in the region, and is a volunteer at Friends of the Poor, through which he serves several soup kitchens across the region.
Miller’s position is the latest in a series of key leadership roles introduced by the firm. In the past year, REDW appointed Principals-in-Charge across its four physical offices as well as a first-ever Director of Client Success in Diana Gibson, and in 2023 brought on Kerry Prine as the firm’s first COO and Byron Wheeler as its Vice President of Sales. The announcement also comes at a time of major growth for the firm. In 2024 REDW Advisors & CPAs formally moved into a new, 3,126-square-foot office located at 211 N. Robinson Ave., Suite N150 in Oklahoma City after utilizing a shared space since opening an office in the region in 2020. In late 2023, REDW announced the opening of its first Pacific Northwest office via an acquisition with Oregon-based Grove, Mueller & Swank, P.C., as well as its acquisition of Edwards, Largay, Mihaylo & Co. in Phoenix in 2022.
