Phoenix REALTOR® Shawnee Doherty Named Finalist for National Good Neighbor Award
(PHOENIX – Oct. 5, 2026) – Arizona REALTORS® is proud to recognize Phoenix REALTOR® Shawnee Doherty, who has been named one of 10 national finalists for the National Association of REALTORS® 2026 Good Neighbor Awards. The annual Good Neighbor Awards honor REALTOR® members who make an extraordinary difference in their communities by contributing their time, money, goodwill and expertise to help others.
After losing her 7-year-old son, Hollis, to diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG), an aggressive pediatric brain cancer, Doherty and her husband founded Hope Through Hollis in his memory. Since then, Doherty has helped bring together families and foundations affected by DIPG. Their collective efforts have raised nearly $2 million over the past decade for research at the Translational Genomics Research Institute in Phoenix, where researchers were involved in Hollis’ care.
“Shawnee has built Hope Through Hollis into a meaningful source of support for families facing a DIPG diagnosis while helping advance research and awareness,” said Scott Drucker, CEO of Arizona REALTORS®. “REALTORS® play an important role in strengthening their communities, and Shawnee’s service is a remarkable example of that. We are proud to see her represent Arizona’s REALTOR® community on a national stage as a finalist.”
Five winners, as determined by judges, will each receive a $10,000 grant and national media exposure for their charity, while five honorable mentions will each receive a $2,500 grant.
The public can vote for Doherty as a Web Choice Favorite through Oct. 24 at realtor.com/goodneighbor.
The top vote-getter will receive an additional $2,500 for their charity, while the two runners-up will each receive an additional $1,250. Winners and Web Choice Favorites will be announced Oct. 27.
