Phoenix-Area SUBWAY® Restaurants Partner with Arizona Diamondbacks on “D-Backs Favorite” Meal, Kids Take the Field Promotions

In celebration of the start of the 2014 baseball season, the Phoenix-area SUBWAY® Restaurants, recently named the official training restaurant of the Arizona Diamondbacks, have partnered with the team on a “D-Backs Favorite” meal. Starting now through May 15, SUBWAY® will offer its foot long Oven Roasted Chicken sub, which was chosen as the D-Back players’ overall favorite sub by popular vote earlier this year, along with a collector’s edition cup and choice of side at all participating stores in the region.

“In a time when so many businesses are cutting back on their sponsorship participation, we are increasing ours – due to the strategic benefit of partnering with the Arizona Diamondbacks,” said franchisee Mark Roden, who is also the chairman of the 2014 SUBWAY® Franchisee Advertising Fund Trust of Arizona board of trustees.

In conjunction with this partnership, SUBWAY® also recently launched an in-store drawing where kids can enter to win the chance to take the field with their favorite starting D-Backs player during a regular season home game. The contest is open to kids between the ages of seven and 15, and no purchase is necessary to enter. Entry forms will be available in all participating Phoenix-area SUBWAY® locations through September 15th. A winner will be chosen to take the field with a player during each of the team’s thirteen regular season Sunday home games. There will be eight winners total and each will also get four tickets to the Sunday home game as well as a player autograph. The drawing is sponsored by SUBWAY® owners in the Phoenix and northern Arizona areas.

The Kids Take the Field promotion is available at participating Phoenix area SUBWAY® restaurants. These partnership come on the heels of the Phoenix-area SUBWAY® restaurants taking home “Most Valuable Partner” honors in the category of Brand Integration during the Arizona Diamondbacks’ 3rd Annual “DB Awards” in January.  The award recognizes excellence in among the team’s corporate sponsorships and partnerships.
