One Step Beyond Showcase Festival Scheduled for May 7
Festival will be a celebration that shines light on abilities, inclusion and opportunity for individuals who have intellectual disabilities.
(PHOENIX – April 11, 2023) – One Step Beyond, a nonprofit organization that provides educational, vocational, recreation and performing arts programs for adults (18+) who have intellectual disabilities, today announced it is hosting its 2023 Showcase Festival on May 7.
“Our Showcases which highlight our participant’s hard work and performances are the highlight of the year,” said CEO Madison Blanton. “This year, in honor of One Step Beyond’s 20th anniversary, we decided to combine our recitals, talent shows, adaptive plays, musical performances and art displays with a community festival. The participants have been working hard and are super excited about sharing their talents and abilities with the Valley community.”
The festival will also feature a vintage-themed carnival with games, fun activities, raffles and interactive art as well as an outdoor picnic catered by food trucks and the OSBI Culinary Program.
The community is invited to join more than 300 One Step Beyond participants, family members, staff and community partners to celebrate the year’s accomplishments.
