One Step Beyond Names Taylor Buttrey Director of California Programs

(San Carlos, Calif.– Aug. 4, 2023) – One Step Beyond, Inc. (OSBI)—a leading provider of comprehensive programming and services for adults who have intellectual disabilities—has named Taylor Buttrey director of California programs. In the role, Buttrey is responsible for planning, launching and overseeing One Step Beyond’s dynamic programming while working with key stakeholders to ensure program success.

Buttrey’s commitment to arts education, program leadership and project management has made him a key figure in driving the mission and vision of nonprofits while empowering a diverse team around him.

“From arts to culinary to life skills, One Step Beyond’s lineup of impactful programs are the foundation for creating lasting change in the lives of those who have intellectual disabilities,” says Buttrey. “I am honored to step into this role and collaborate with this team of changemakers to ensure the success of One Step Beyond programming and bring new ideas to life as we seek to create a more inclusive and accessible world for all.”

Previous nonprofit leadership roles include serving as director of development for The Opportunity Tree and as creative arts program manager for Scottsdale Training and Rehabilitation Services.

Buttrey received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography at the Academy of Art University. His previous volunteer experience includes serving as a Class XXXII Member of Scottsdale Leadership, a Lincoln Family Downtown Advisory board member for Valley of the Sun YMCA and a member of Scottsdale Arts’ Learning and Innovation Committee.
