One Step Beyond Artists Featured by San Francisco Helpers Community at Meet the Artist and Cultivation Event

San Francisco Art Gallery Event Promoted Opportunity, Equity and Inclusion for Individuals Who Have Intellectual Disabilities

(PHOENIX– Nov. 6, 2023) – One Step Beyond, Inc. (OSBI)—a leading provider of comprehensive programming and services for adults who have intellectual disabilities—today announced that two of its exceptionally talented artists were featured at a groundbreaking Meet the Artist and Cultivation Event in San Francisco. Hosted by art gallery Helper’s Artisan Boutique at Neon, the Oct. 28 event provided a unique opportunity for Surprise residents Justin Sims and Stephanie Fox to showcase their work and underscore the spirit of diversity, equity and inclusion in art. Event attendees had the opportunity to meet the artists, explore their stunning works and learn about their inspiration and process.

Helpers Artisan Boutique is a renowned gallery and boutique in San Francisco that showcases the work of artists from diverse backgrounds with the mission of providing a platform for artists to share their creations and connect with the community.

One Step Beyond is dedicated to empowering individuals with intellectual disabilities to reach their full potential and find their unique talents. By supporting their artists and collaborating with art galleries in California and Arizona, the organization is taking an important step toward promoting inclusivity in the art world. The Meet the Artist and Cultivation Event encouraged a broader understanding and appreciation of the artistic abilities of individuals who may face unique challenges.

Justin and Stephanie’s work captures the essence of who they are and what they hope to communicate to the world.”

One Step Beyond’s mission is to provide programs and services that enable individuals who have intellectual disabilities to be independent and active members of the community, recognized for their potential.

As One Step Beyond continues to foster opportunities for equity and inclusion, when you purchase an artist’s original work, 70 percent of the proceeds from that sale go directly to the artist.
