Jewish Family & Children’s Service Seeks Sponsors for It’s A Wrap Holiday Program
Program Serves Needy Families for Both Chanukah and Christmas
WHAT:
Jewish Family and Children’s Service (JFCS) is seeking groups and individuals to help sponsor and spread joy to families in need this holiday season by participating in the annual JFCS holiday program It’s A Wrap, the only program in the Phoenix area that serves families for both Chanukah and Christmas.
WHO:
JFCS serves countless families facing overwhelming obstacles each and every day. These families struggle to make ends meet throughout the year, and the upcoming holidays and current COVID-19 pandemic have compounded their challenges.
HOW IT WORKS:
2020 has been a year like no other. Individuals and families are facing never before seen challenges brought on by the impact of COVID-19. While this year’s It’s A Wrap will look a little different as the organization keeps everyone’s safety in mind, the community need is greater now, more than ever.
JFCS clinicians identify families with the most need and compile a brief “wish list” for each. The clinicians match these families with generous sponsors.
Sponsors receive a wish list sharing details about the family and instructions for wrapping the donations at home and dropping off the donations at Martin Pear JCC on Dec. 4.
All gifts are tax deductible.
DATE:
December 4, 2020 from 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
On the day of the event, JFCS staff and volunteers will be waiting curbside to take items from your car. Masks will be worn by all staff and volunteers.
HOW TO GET INVOLVED:
Interested individuals should complete the online form at https://www.jfcsaz.org/donate/ by November 30. Financial donations to the program will also be graciously accepted.
Questions should be directed to Jayne Plotkin at 602-567-8334.
