Jewish Family & Children’s Service Helps Make the Holidays Brighter with Annual It’s A Wrap Event
(PHOENIX – Dec. 16, 2020)—Jewish Family & Children’s Service (JFCS), an organization known for strengthening the community by providing behavioral health, healthcare and social services to all ages, “wrapped up” the giving season on Dec. 4 with its annual It’s A Wrap program that serves needy families, seniors and foster youth who celebrate Chanukah and Christmas.
Recognizing that the holidays often compound challenges for individuals and families who are already struggling, JFCS clinicians identify families with the most need and compile a wish list that sponsors use to purchased needed items. This year, community members, philanthropic organizations, employees and individuals who answered the call to sponsor families in need, lined up in their cars to drop off donations at the Martin Pear Jewish Community Center.
“Everything we do is about building stronger communities,” said program manager Kathy Rood “With so many more families in need this year, we are grateful the community helped us make the holidays shine just a bit brighter for those who need it the most.”
