JA YOU’RE HIRED

One hundred business leaders, including (l-r) Town of Paradise Valley resident Tom Lewis, founder of T.W. Lewis Company, Joyce Richards, president of Junior Achievement of Arizona, and Todd Sanders, president and CEO of the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce, shared their knowledge with more than 300 high school students from around the Valley during the recent JA You’re Hired! Challenge. The JA You’re Hired! Challenge is a part of a three component, award winning program created by Junior Achievement to develop high school students’ work-readiness skills.  Most students walk away with a lifetime’s worth of knowledge and job advice. But others who perform well might walk away with a little bit more than that. If selected, students will successfully complete a paid internship with regular correspondence between the employer and Junior Achievement advisors.  Additional information is available at www.jaaz.org
